    Jordan's gross exports pick up by 8.1 percent

    (MENAFN) Official figures showed that, Jordan's gross exports increased 8.1 percent in the first 11 months of 2019 totaling JD5.34 billion versus the same period in 2018.


    According to the data by the Department of Statistics, national exports also grew by 8.2 percent to JD4.54 billion in the same period while re-exports totaled JD806 million.


    In turn, imports decreased 4.1 percent to JD12.6 billion in the Jan-Nov period of 2019 in comparison with the same period in a year before; the trade balance deficit dropped by 11.4 percent to JD7.26 billion and the exports-to-imports coverage ratio reached 42.4 percent, an increase of 4.8 percent.
