    Egypt to develop road networks, boost infrastructure

    (MENAFN) According to Egyptian Finance Minister Mohamed Maait, Egypt has allocated about USD190 million to apply an emergency plan for improving road networks and enhancing infrastructure.


    Official Ahram Online news website reported that, the allocation came in the minister's gathering with local development minister Mahmoud Shaarawy.


    Road developing will be made according to the highest technical and quality standards; one 3rd of the 3 billion pounds was allocated to the local development ministry's budget for financial year 2019/2020 to support the presidential initiative "Decent Life" in its first phase, covering 143 villages in 11 governorates, as said by Maait.


    The plan, started in January 2019, is meant to help develop services given to those most in need, mainly in Egypt's villages.
