    Iran: increasing recoverable oil from Azadegan oilfield

    (MENAFN) According to Iran's Petroleum Minister Bijan Namdar Zanganeh, Iran has a plan to boost recoverable oil from Azadegan oilfield in southwestern Khuzestan province.


    Zanganeh said that, oil recovery rate from the Azadegan oilfield, a mutual field sited on the border with Iraq, will grow from the recent 6 percent to 10 percent of recoverable oil.


    This success would mean a rise of around 3.5 billion barrels of oil, which is an important figure, Zanganeh added.


    The academia in Iran has become a main part of development plans in the oil and gas sector, as he also said.
