    Turkey: Treasury borrows USD770 million from domestic markets

    (MENAFN) Official statement said that, on Monday, the Turkish Treasury borrowed USD770 million from domestic markets.


    Five-year CPI-indexed government bonds (new issue, semiannually) were sold in an auction, according to the Treasury and Finance Ministry.


    The government bonds will be completed on Wednesday and mature on January 29, 2025. The whole tender totaled USD1.4 million with a 55.2 percent accepted/tendered rate.


    The term rate of 1,820-day government bonds was approved at 1.16 percent, while the yearly simple and compound interest rates were 2.31 percent and 2.32 percent, respectively, as said by the Treasury.
