NOC: Libya's daily production of crude oil decreases

(MENAFN) Libya's daily production of crude oil has decreased from over 1.2 million barrels to less 200,000 after the shutting of oil fields and ports, according to the state-owned Libyan National Oil Corporation (NOC).

As said in a statement by NOC, "the NOC confirms a drop in production to the current level of 187,337 barrels per day, with losses resulting from illegal blockades amounting to 931,775,672 U.S. dollars".

Adding that, "the NOC renews its call for all blockades to be lifted to allow the corporation to resume production immediately."

Tribal leaders in eastern Libya shut oil ports newly, saying that the UN-backed Libyan government is using oil income to help armed groups against the east-based army.
