    Turkey's benchmark stock index increases 0.45 percent

    (MENAFN) On Friday, Turkey's benchmark stock index stared the last transaction day of the week at 121,081.97 points after it increased 0.45 percent, or 541.44 points.


    Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index grew 0.41 percent at 120,540.53 points at Thursday's close.


    Compared to 6.0600 at the last close, on Friday, the USD/Turkish lira exchange rate was 6.0500 as of 9.30 a.m. local time (0630GMT) and at Thursday's close, the euro/Turkish lira exchange rate dropped to 6.5570, compared to 6.5750, and one British pound traded for 7.9070 Turkish liras. It was 7.7810.


    Starting from 10 a.m. local time (0700GMT) on Friday, one barrel of Brent crude oil sold for around USD56.37.
