    Policy rate of Turkey's central bank to drop by 50 basis points

    (MENAFN) Turkey's central bank is likely to decrease its policy rate by 50 basis points; as many as 21 economists have joined in the poll and 14 of them estimated a drop among 25 and 75 basis points in the policy rate.


    Most of the economists expected 50 basis points of decrease, while 7 analysts estimated stability in the policy rate.


    This year's second Monetary Policy Committee gathering will start on February 19 and the central bank is estimated to declare its decision afterward.
