    Turkey's annual tourism revenues increase in 2019

    (MENAFN) According to industry professionals, in 2019, Turkey's yearly tourism profits increased making the transcontinental nation one of the most known tourist destinations in the world, a boom to which diversification is key.


    Official data showed that, a record number of foreign visitors of more than 45 million people visited Turkey in 2019, a climb of 14.1 percent from 2018.


    Statistical data showed that, in 2019, Turkey's tourism income also reached USD34.5 billion a new record high and the figure increased by 17 percent last year, up from USD29.5 billion in 2018.


    With about 15 million tourists, Istanbul was the main arriving destination accounting for 33 percent of all foreign visitors in 2019.
