    KSA: Al-Jafoura gas field to be developed

    (MENAFN) The expansion of the Al-Jafoura gas field with an investment of USD110 billion was announced by KSA.


    Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud analyzed the expansion and development plan on Thursday in a gathering.


    Being the biggest non-conventional and non-associate gas field in KSA, the giant Al-Jafoura field, sited in Saudi Arabia's eastern region, is estimated to measure 170 km in length and 100 km in width and contain an expected 200 trillion cubic feet of wet gas.


    As said by Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud, the development of the field would take 22 years and make a net profit of about USD8.6 billion yearly, adding an expected USD20 billion to yearly GDP.
