    Turkey's benchmark stock index closes week at 116,829.39 points

    (MENAFN) The week was closed by Turkey's benchmark stock index at 116,829.39 points, an increase of 1.03 percent from last close; from Thursday's close of 115,642.04 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index grew 1,187.35 as of the daily close.


    During the day, the index was among 114,453.40 points and 117,415.25 points and the total market worth of the BIST 100 was around USD133.7 billion by market close, with a daily trading volume USD2.4 billion.


    In comparison with Thursday, on the last transaction day of the week, 87 stocks on the index increased, 10 were decreased and 3 stayed unchanged.


    National flag carrier Turkish Airlines; defense giant Aselsan and mining company Koza Madencilik posted the maximum trading volumes.
