    Daily electricity usage in Turkey increases by 1.28 percent

    (MENAFN) Official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) showed that, on Thursday, Turkey's daily electricity usage grew by 1.28 percent to 854,346 megawatt-hours.


    According to data from TEIAS, hourly power usage peaked at 20:00 local time with 40,062 megawatt-hours and Turkey's electricity consumption decreased to its lowest point of 28,842 megawatt-hours at 04:00.


    On Thursday, whole electricity making stood at 850,348 megawatt-hours with a 1 percent rise in comparison with the day before; most of the output came from natural gas at 221,184 megawatt-hours also, hydroelectricity and imported coal followed respectively with 188,935 megawatt-hours and 178,777 megawatt-hours.


    Turkey's electricity exports totaled 4,023 megawatt-hours and imports amounted to 8,021 megawatt-hours on Thursday.
