    Daily electricity usage decreases by 0.46 percent in Turkey

    (MENAFN) Official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) showed that, on Tuesday, Turkey's daily electricity usage dropped by 0.46 percent to 823,599 megawatt-hours.

    As said in data from TEIAS, hourly power usage increased at 20:00 local time with 39,233 megawatt-hours; Turkey's electricity consumption fell to its lowest point of 28,746 megawatt-hours at 05:00.


    On Tuesday, the whole electricity production stood at 815,991 megawatt-hours with a 0.69 percent drop in comparison with the other day; most of the output came from hydroelectricity plants at 184,450 megawatt-hours, also imported coal and natural gas plants followed respectively with 178,874 megawatt-hours and 168,204 megawatt-hours.


    Turkey's electricity exports totaled 4,629 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 12,237 megawatt-hours, on Tuesday.
