    Iran: mining projects prepared to be inaugurated in Iran's mining sector

    (MENAFN) According to head of Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO), many projects value over USD1.2 billion are prepared to be inaugurated in Iran's mining sector across Iran.


    As said by Khodadad Gharibpour, more than USD3.5 billion value of projects are set to go operational or are almost finished in different sectors, of which about USD1.2 are mining and mining industry projects.


    The official highlighted some of the industry ministry's plans for developing Iran's mining sector in the recent Iranian calendar year, including the rise of exploration operations up to 650,000 square kilometers and the plans for reviving Iran's small mines.


    The official said that, "the project for reviving the small scale mines is being followed up continuously by the organization and the industry ministry".
