    Turkey's benchmark stock index closes day at 111,207.27 points

    (MENAFN) On Tuesday, Turkey's benchmark stock index ended the day at 111,207.27 points, an increase of 3.63 percent from the earlier close; Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index began the day at 108,997.50 points and starting the daily close, it made 3,897.4 points from Monday's close of 107,309.87 points.


    The index had witnessed more than 120,000 levels last month and during the day, it was among 108,881.41 points and 111,207.27 points.


    The total market worth of the BIST 100 was USD125.03 billion by market close, with a daily trading volume of USD1.62 billion.


    On the 2nd transaction day of the week, 93 stocks on the index increased, 6 dropped, and 1 stayed unchanged in comparison with Monday.
