    Hazelnut exports rise 32.1 percent on quantity basis, 51.6 percent on value basis: Turkey

    (MENAFN) According to a regional trade union, by exporting 220,724 tons of hazelnut from last year's September to February 2020, Turkey made USD1.44 billion.


    During the first 6 months of the season, which begins in September and ends in August, Turkey's hazelnut exports climbed 32.1 percent on amount basis, and grew 51.6 percent on worth basis.


    As said in a report by the Black Sea Hazelnut and Products Exporters' Union, in the same period last year, profits were USD950.7 million.


    The EU stayed to be top destination for Turkey's hazelnut exports with about 78 percent of total exports; Turkey is the biggest hazelnut exporter internationally.
