    Turkey's calendar-adjusted retail sales volume increases 9.6 percent

    (MENAFN) According to Turkey's statistical authority, Turkey's calendar-adjusted retail sales volume with stable prices increased 9.6 percent yearly in January.


    Turkey's statistical authority said that, "in the same month food, drinks and tobacco sales increased by 5.5 percent."


    Not including automotive fuel, non-food sales climbed 13.6 percent, while automotive fuel sales increased 5.8 percent through the same period.


    Between non-food items, the volume of computers, books, and telecommunications equipment sales grew 19.2 percent, while textile, clothing, and footwear sales rose 16.5 percent, medical goods and cosmetic sales increased 7.3 percent, and electronic goods and furniture sales climbed 3.8 percent in the same period.
