    National Center for Palms, Dates reveals rise of exports of Saudi dates

    (MENAFN) In comparison with 2018, exports of Saudi dates by the National Center for Palms and Dates have increased by 14.6 percent in 2019 to stand at about SR 865 million, compared to SR 755 million.


    For the year 2019, export quantities grew by 13.5 percent to arrive at 184,000 tons of dates, in comparison with 2018, totaling 162,000 tons, according to General Authority for Statistics.


    These expansions are achieved by the Ministry of Environment, Water, Agriculture, and the National Center for Palms and Date as well as efforts of relevant authorities.


    Saudi Arabia has over 30 million palm trees that make 1.4 million tons of the finest dates every year.
