    Iran exports 6.348 million tons of agricultural products worth USD5.204 billion

    (MENAFN) The director-general of Agriculture Ministry's Export Promotion Bureau said that, in the first 11 months of the recent Iranian calendar year, Iran exported 6.348 million tons of agricultural products value USD5.204 billion.


    As said by Shahrokh Shajari, more than 22.659 million tons of similar products that value USD11.648 billion were also imported into Iran in the mentioned period.


    The official said that, watermelon, apple, tomato, potato, onion, and shallot were most exported products in terms of weights.


    Fresh or dried pistachios with USD628 million, fresh apples with USD309 million, tomatoes with USD223 million, fresh or dried pistachio nuts with USD194 million and watermelons with USD172 million worth of exports were the top 5 export products In terms of worth.
