    Number of newly established companies in Turkey increases

    (MENAFN) According the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB), the amount of recently founded firms in Turkey rose 37 percent yearly in February.


    As said by TOBB, some 9,150 firms were set up last month, an increase from almost 6,700 in February last year; figures informed that, in comparison with February 2019, 824 firms went out of business marking an increase of 32 percent in February this year.


    As many as 1,142 foreign-partnered or foreign-funded new firms were founded in the month; TOBB said that, in the first two months of 2020, over 19,600 new companies began doing business in Turkey, with a yearly rise of 31 percent.


    In January-February, the amount of foreign-partnered or foreign-funded new firms was over 2,200.
