    Iran: about 580 kilometers of freeways will be inaugurated

    (MENAFN) According to Transport and Urban Development Minister Mohammad Eslami, around 580 kilometers of freeways will be inaugurated throughout Iran during the recent Iranian calendar year.


    Eslami said that, one of the main programs that his ministry is going to follow in this year is the National Housing Plan which plans to build 380,000 affordable housing units.


    6 prioritized freeways projects with a total length of 550 kilometers were scheduled to be inaugurated by the Iranian Calendar year of 1400, as said by Deputy Transport and Urban Development Minister Kheirollah Khademi.


    Khademi said that, "with these new freeways going operational, the length of the country's freeways will increase by nearly 25 percent".
