    KSA: COVID-19 pandemic affects destabilization of global oil, gas markets

    (MENAFN) The coronavirus pandemic and its direct health and economic and social effects, has also contributed to the weakening of international oil and gas markets and firms energy security for several nations, according to energy ministers of the Group of 20 (G20).


    As said in a gathering by G20 ministers, "we commit to ensure that the energy sector continues to make a full, effective contribution to overcoming coronavirus and powering the subsequent global recovery".


    They also said that, "we commit to work together in the spirit of solidarity on immediate, concrete actions to address these issues in a time of unprecedented international emergency".


    The energy ministers approved on forming a short-term Focus Group, with the task of monitoring the response actions.
