    Short-term external debt stock totals USD122.5 billion: Turkey

    (MENAFN) According to the nation's Central Bank, Turkey's short-term external debt stock amounted to USD122.5 billion as of end of February this year.

    As said by Central Bank of Turkey (CBRT), Turkey's external debt stock increased by 0.9 percent in February, in comparison with the end of 2019.

    The currency breakdown of the debt stock composed of 48.8 percent USD, 29.6 percent euro, 14.1 percent Turkish lira and 7.5 percent other currencies, as official figures showed.

    Banks' short-term external debt stock grew 1.6 percent to USD57.1 billion and other sectors' short-term external debt stock climbed by 3.4 percent to USD57.0 billion over the same period.
