    Treasury borrows USD1.6 billion from domestic markets: Turkey

    (MENAFN) As said in an official statement, the Turkish Treasury borrowed USD1.6 billion from local markets on Tuesday.

    Three-year CPI-indexed government bonds (fourth issue, semiannually) were sold in an auction, according to the Treasury and Finance Ministry.

    The government bonds will be settled on Wednesday and established on May 3, 2023; the total tender totaled USD3.7 million with a 42.7 percent accepted/tendered rate.

    The term rate of 1,106-day government bonds was accepted at 0.99 percent, while the yearly simple and compound interest rates were both 1.99 percent, added the Treasury.
