    4.24 million foreign visitors in Turkey in Q1 of 2020

    (MENAFN) According to Turkey's Culture and Tourism Ministry, Turkey welcomed 4.24 million foreign visitors in the first quarter of this year.

    As said in the ministry data, the number of foreigners visiting Turkey decreased by 22.1 percent on a yearly basis in the quarter.

    After the coronavirus pandemic, which originated in China last December, tourism and aviation sectors took a backseat due to restrictions on travel.

    Turkey's flag carrier Turkish Airlines also suspended all flights till May 28.
