Turkish Central Bank revises its year-end inflation forecast to 7.4 percent for 2020

(MENAFN) On Thursday, the Turkish Central Bank revised its year-end inflation prediction to 7.4 percent for this year, which is a drop from 8.2 percent.

According to the Central Bank governor, the 0.8 percent drop was led by the downward revision in the projections of the output gap and food inflation.

The figure is likely to fluctuate among 5.5 percent and 9.3 percent at end-2020, as Murat Uysal said.

Current monetary and economic procedures will contribute to financial stability and post-pandemic recovery by supporting the potential output of the economy, added Murat.
