    Borsa Istanbul end week on decline

    (MENAFN) By the end of the previous weekly trading as of Thursday, the Turkish standard stock index registered a decline by 0.18 percent, reaching 98,398.81 points.

    Compared to a total of 98,571.46 points recorded at midweek close, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index decreased by 172.65, to open Thursday"s trading at 98.579,92 points.

    As many as 47 stocks on the BIST 100, which soared between 97,799.59 points and 99,273.48 points amid the trading of the day, declined, while 45 other stocks went up and eight were flat compared to the previous day.

    Finishing the day with a market worth of about 694.8 billion Turkish liras (USD 97.4 billion), the standard index showed a day on day trading volume of 12.1 billion Turkish liras (USD 1.7 billion).
