    Shipment of goods to be resumed between Iran, Iraq

    (MENAFN) Iraq's Kurdistan Regional Government, KRG, granted a permission to resume passage of products out of that area, Seyyed Rouhollah Latifi, an official for the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA) said Sunday in a statement.

    According to him, With the continuing follow-up of the Islamic Republic of Iran Consulate in Erbil, Iraq's KRG decided under some terms and conditions to resume shipping of freight involving automotive, construction and building supplies, ironware and industrial pipes, as this comes under constant follow-up by the Consulate of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Erbil.

    With regard to the terms and conditions of goods' transit from the Iraqi Kurdistan Regional Government, the official declared that "paying a guarantee of up to 25% of the total price of transit goods, possessing a certificate of origin, and determining the time required on the customs bill and the representative's letter to pass the transit goods [up to a maximum of 48 hours] are the outstanding conditions and conditions for unloading of goods."

    Latifi pointed out that all control of the movement of products must be carried out by KRG's Ministry of Interior, Security, and Customs Office.
