    Turkey posts more than 6 percent increase in Q1 milk production

    The statistical authority of Turkey said on Tuesday that the cow milk output in the country has increased 6.3 percent in the starting quarter of the current year compared to a year earlier.

    According to a statement released by TurkStat, the amount of cow milk that was obtained by diaries came in at 2.48 million tons in the cited quarter of the year.

    According to official figures, the output of drinking milk also posted a yearly increase of 11.3 percent in the quarter since a year ago to set at 422,076 tons.

    The country has made a total of 184,038 tons of cheese in the January to March period of the year, as 98 percent of it was produced from cow milk and the rest was made from sheep, goat, buffalo and mixed milk.
