    Iran's monthly steel production over 1.5 million tons

    Data published by steel manufacturers in Iran was quoted by IRNA showing that the steel goods output in the country came in a total of 1.534 million tons in the starting month of the ongoing Iranian calendar year (20th of March to the 19th of April).

    According to the data, the steel goods production in the country posted a decline of 8 percent in the starting month of the current year compared to the same month a year earlier when it came in at 1.668 million tons.

    The country's steel goods exports in the previous Iranian calendar year (ending on the 19th of March) saw an increase of 27 percent in comparison with a year ago.

    The large steel manufacturers in Iran were able to export around 7.33 million tons of the goods in the earlier year.
