    Turkey strengthens reliance on domestic production under pandemic

    (MENAFN) On Wednesday, Turkey's treasury and finance minister said in a statement that the country's prioritization of domestic growth is estimated to enter a new phase in the coming period.

    During a telemeeting with leading Turkish business representatives, the minister, Berat Albayrak declared "We will further protect and support all of our industrialists who take responsibility for domestic production."

    Coupled with the declining interest rates in the coming months, the government would introduce its long-term, Turkish lira-based and low-cost funding initiatives much more effectively, according to Albayrak.

    He further included "In order to turn this situation into opportunity immediately, we consider it important for our businesses of all scales to complete their digital transformation in all processes from design to production, from marketing to logistic."
