    Trade between Iran, China hits over USD5 billion in 4 months

    Tasnim said that the trade of Iran with its top trading partner, China, has gone over USD5 billion in the starting 4 months of the current year 2020 to reach a total of USD5.26 billion, representing a decline of 40 percent compared to the same period a year earlier.

    The trade turnover of the two countries came in at a total of USD8.76 billion in the starting fourth months of the earlier year 2019.

    Data published by the General Administration of Customs of China showed that the Iranian imports from China stood at USD2.92 billion in the cited period, showing an expansion of three percent in comparison with the same time frame a year ago in 2019.

    However, the exports from Iran to China declined 61 percent to set only USD2.34 billion.
