    NIDC finishes 23 gas, oil wells in 2 months

    The National Iranian Drilling Company (NIDC) has finished digging 23 oil and gas wells in the starting two months of the ongoing Iranian calendar year, from the 20th of March to the 19th of April, according to the director for consolidated planning in the company.

    Mehr news agency said that the drilled wells were made up of 12 development/appraisal wells along with 11 workover wells, said Babak Zanganeh.

    The NIDC's director said that around 17,297 meters of digging were carried out in the onshore and offshore wells.

    The NIDC's Technology and Engineering Department head, said that the company has indigenized the knowledge in order to manufacture 6,000 drilling equipments jointly with domestic manufacturers and engineers in the earlier Iranian calendar year.
