Turkey to recommence its borderlines to support trade rebound with Iran

    (MENAFN)

Iran and Turkey will see their main trade gate returned this week after more than three months of closure due to the new COVID-19 pandemic.

Turkish Trade Minister Ruhsar Pekcan stated on Wednesday, June 3rd that Ankara will demand a reopening of the Gurbulak border gate, identified on the Iranian side of the border as Bazargan, to support enhancement trade between the two neighbors.

The long-awaited measure comes more than a week after Iranian and Turkish presidents conversed the reopening of air and land borders between the two neighbors now that the pandemic has slowed down.

Iran has been the most affected country in West Asia by the coronavirus pandemic.
