    Aselsan signs 31.3M USD mechanical ventilator order contract

    The Turkish defense giant Aselsan signed a deal value 31.3 million U.S. dollars with the International Health Services Inc. for the production of mechanical ventilators.

    The defense firm announced on Wednesday, June 10th, "Within the scope of the agreement, mid-level intensive care mechanical ventilator order is given to Aselsan."
    Devices will be provided this year, it stated.

    With severe shortness of breath, a symptom of the novel coronavirus, ventilators have been a critical necessity during the coronavirus outbreak.

    Numerous countries were in front of struggle in finding sufficient ventilators, but Turkey was able to set up production and start manufacturing them within the country and even export them.
