Attracting tourism, Lebanese PM suggests security measures

    (MENAFN)
Lebanon's Prime Minister Hassan Diab on Thursday advised Lebanese citizens to keep calm and security so as to attract tourists back to the country.

The National News Agency cited Diab as saying during a cabinet meeting that this will help recompense for the losses suffered by national protests and the coronavirus outburst.

Diab said "The government must be ready to restore the regular life cycle in the country. Lebanon needs safety and stability to take advantage of the reopening of the airport on July 1 by sending a positive signal to tourists".

Beirut's airport is estimated to reopen on July 1st in the hope to attract tourists and make up for the losses caused by months of unsteadiness in the country due to countrywide protests and the coronavirus outburst.
