    Turkey figure of foreign guests falls in January-May

    (MENAFN) On Monday June 22 the Culture and Tourism Ministry Turkey expected that over 4.2 million foreign guests throughout the first five months of this year.

    Data illustrated that because of the pandemic, the figure of foreigners visiting the country plunged 66.35 percent in the January-May period on an yearly basis.

    Turkey's historic urban city of Istanbul was the peak destination for travelers, hosting 54.86 percent of all guests about 2.3 million.

    This is chased by the northwestern Edirne region with 13.27 percent or almost 570,000 foreign guests in the similar time.
