    Smart 500,000 electricity meters established for big-scale customers

    (MENAFN) IRNA reported quoting an official with Iran's Power Generation, Distribution and Transmission Company (known as Tavanir) that several 500,000 smart electricity meters have been established for large-scale customers athwart Iran.

    On Tuesday June 23 speaking on the sidelines of the investiture ceremony of the Tavanir Monitoring Center (TMC), Gholamali Rakhshani-Mehr put the figure of the country's manufacturing electricity customers with more than 30-kilowatt transmission lines at 400,000 and the figure of agricultural wells provided with electrical motors at 110,000.

    Energy Minister Reza Ardakanian stated that TMC the electricity industry monitoring center was installed in the attendance of him in the structure of a weekly scheme called A-B-Iran.

    Rakhashani-Mehr mentioned that initiating TMC is intended at monitoring the tactical characteristics of the energy industry's subsidiaries as well as observing electricity utilization in Iran.
