    Iran's yearly agricultural production anticipated to strike 128 million tons by March 2021

    (MENAFN) Shahrokh Shajari the Acting Head of Agriculture Ministry's Economic Affairs Department stated that Iran's agricultural production is anticipated to arrive at 128 million tons in the present Iranian agenda year (March 2020-March 2021.

    ILNA accounted that Shajari stated Speaking to Es'haq Jahangiri First Vice President in a meeting of Agriculture Ministry's senior officials that he place the country's agriculture production in the preceding Iranian agenda year (ended on March 19) at 123 million tons.

    Shahrokh placed to improving the trade equilibrium of agriculture and food sectors, preserving the country's basic resources, improving food safety by relying on domestic production, and improving production as some of the most significant tactics of the Agriculture Ministry for the present Iranian agenda year.

    Shajari stated that referring to the growth of price sequences in the agricultural sector that "Development of new irrigation systems and greenhouses to improve water productivity, development of aquaculture, especially shrimp and fish farming at sea, and development of medicinal plants cultivation are among the plans underway in this regard.".
