    Turkish stocks drop 0.3 percent at open

    (MENAFN) Turkey's benchmark stock index started Friday at 115,450.93 points, with a drop of 0.30 percent or 342.66 points.

    Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index dropped 2.46 percent at 115,793.59 points, with a daily trading capacity of 28.4 billion Turkish liras (USD4.1 billion), at Thursday's close.

    The USD/Turkish lira exchange rate reached 6.8660 as of 9:30 a.m. local time (0630GMT) Friday, unaffected from the preceding close.

    The euro/Turkish lira exchange rate dropped to 7.7350 from 7.7760, while one British pound exchanged for 8.6610 Turkish liras, drop from 8.7300 at Thursday's close.
