    ICCIMA holds conference on easing trade with Russia

    (MENAFN) On Saturday July 18 Mohammadreza Karbasi Deputy Head of Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture (ICCIMA) met with Iran's ambassador to Russia throughout video conference on to talk about ways of facilitating trade linking the two countries.

    ICCIMA news portal recorded that the conference was concentrated by Iran's commercial attache in Russia, the country's consular officer in Astrakhan, the chairman of the Iran-Russia Joint Chamber of Commerce, the director-general of Customs Office of International Cooperation, representatives of Iran's Trade Promotion Organization (TPO) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in addition to some businessmen.

    Evaluating the latest state of affairs of product traffic on the boundaries of Iran and Russia, presenting the existing troubles and proposals to resolve them, discussing proposals for removing transit and trade barriers for export and import of merchandise with Russia, presenting the latest status of marine transport in the Caspian Sea and future plans, explaining the latest customs procedures and suggestions for the continuance of trade with Russia were among the most significant topics talked about at the conference.

    Require of refrigerated containers, transportation troubles, banking tribulations, the unfeasibility of opening an LC, in addition to money transfer difficulties were in the middle of the most important subjects that the participants in this virtual conference mentioned as obstructions to improving Iran-Russia trade.
