    Libya greets United States sanctions on oil smuggler complex

    (MENAFN) On Thursday August 6 Libya's National Oil Corporation (NOC) stated that it greets the Unites States' resolution to inflict sanctions on three individuals and a company that are maintained to smuggle fuel and drugs from Libya to Malta.

    The NOC stated that the system of smugglers "have contributed significantly to destabilizing the country," adding up it will carry on to observe all smuggling maneuvers in diverse provinces of Libya.

    A statement released on NOC's Facebook page uttered that "(We) will continue to submit reports to the Office of the Attorney General and the Sanctions Committee of the Security Council and follow up legal procedures to hold accountable those involved in these illegal act,".

    On Thursday August 6 The United States Treasury Department's financial sanctions incorporated that Libyan national Faysal al-Wadi, operator of a vessel called Maraya, two of his connections, Musbah Mohamad M. Wadi and Nourddin Milood M. Musbah, and the Malta-supported compact Alwefq Ltd.
