    Natural gas discovery might well secure Turkey's current account slit

    (MENAFN) On Friday August 21 Turkey's treasury and finance minister stated that big declaration of a natural gas discovery in the Turkish Black Sea could eradicate the country's present account shortage matter.

    Berat Albayrak stated speaking alongside Fatih Donmez Energy and Natural Resources Minister on the Turkish drill ship Fatih off the Black Sea province of Zonguldak that "With the current exploration and potential here, I hope in the coming days we will talk about a current account surplus,".

    Berat added that the finding of important gas resources in the Black Sea could decrease Turkey's dependence on energy imports.

    On Friday August 21 by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan declared that a number of 320 billion cubic meters of natural gas reserves were established following the drill ship Fatih created work on July 20 off the Black Sea shoreline.
