    Building of Iran's major mineral port terminal to start shortly

    (MENAFN) Head of Iran's Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO) has stated that the scheme for the building of the country's major mechanized mineral terminal at the southern Shahid Rajaee Port is heading for kick off in the present Iranian agenda year (trimmings on March 20, 2021).

    PMO portal quoted Mohammad Rastad as stating that "One of the most important projects invested by the private sector is the Shahid Rajaee Port's mineral terminal; this project is currently under investor studies and its implementation will begin soon this year,".

    Rastad stated that a 50 trillion rial (concerning 1.19 billion USD) build operate transfer (BOT) contract was marked last September involving the MPO and private sector for the building of the talked about terminal.

    Rastad added that the contract's epoch is 33 years.
