Mideast leaders voice concern over local matters at UN session

(MENAFN) Saudi King Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud on Wednesday, September 23, made his first discourse at the United Nations (UN) General Assembly over local matters in the Middle East, as the General Debate of the 75th session of the meeting entered into the second day.

In his dialogue pre-recorded as those of other speakers as the yearly meeting turned "virtual" because of the coronavirus pandemic, the king stated that forces of radicalism and disorder are trying to take control over Middle East countries by stimulating insecurity in the region.

He added "If we intend to win in our battle against terrorism, we must stand firm in the face of these countries that promote transnational extremist ideologies, which rely on false political slogans to hide their extremist, chaotic and destructive nature".
