    Second phase of Ilam Refinery development plan to begin soon

    (MENAFN) On Saturday October 3 Shana accounted, quoting Ruhollah Nourian, the refinery's managing director as stating that the second phase of Iran's Ilam Gas refinery plan is heading for be started in the near future as the country's giant Persian Gulf Holding Company is heading for spend 10 trillion rials (concerning 238 million USD) in the project.

    Nourian stated tipping to the enlargement of the refinery's manufacture index in the first half of the present Iranian agenda year (March 20-September 21) contrasted to the same period last year that "Implementing several projects in various fields, including the development of sulfur products, commissioning of incinerators, recovering the gases sent to the burner and ... are also on the agenda.".

    Nourian as well submitted to some of the refinery's challenges that counting the lack of an olefin unit, the problem of supplying some parts and chemicals, and the lack of financing for the Galal Dam water treatment plant plan, and called for additional collaboration and harmonization to attend to these challenges.

    Nourian had declared back in August that a 20-percent augment in inserted gas into the national gas grid by Ilam refinery in first quarter of the present Iranian year (founded on March 20) and stated that "In this period we have seen six percent increase in condensate production, 21 percent in sulfur and 360 percent in LPG.".
