    More than 5 billion USD abounding for import of essential merchandise in 6 months

    (MENAFN) IRIB accounted Central Bank of Iran (CBI) has managed to provide 5.267 billion USD for importing fundamental merchandise in the first six months of the present Iranian agenda year (began on March 20).

    The CBI office of public relations stated that working together with the ministries of industry, agriculture, and health, the bank has abounding foreign currency with an official rate to the importers of necessary merchandise to carry their activities and as well to congregate the country's necessitates.

    As accounted, of the talked about figure, about 4 billion USD has been owed for the imports of merchandise and 1 billion USD was used to import medicine.

    Supported on CBI data, the bank plans to provide an entire of 8 billion USD for the imports of basic merchandise in the present Iranian agenda year, of which 5.5 billion USD is aimed at be assigned for main consumable merchandise like corn, oilseeds, crude oil, meal, barley and wheat, more than 1.5 billion USD will be supplied for the imports of medicine, and about 1 billion USD is heading to go to the imports of medical tools.
