    Iran sees an upsurge in gas consumption

    (MENAFN) Mohammad Asgari told IRNA that the daily natural gas consumption by families and the economical segment stood at 253 million cubic meters (mcm) over the last few days, while the number reached about 197 mcm past week.
    Gas consumption in the country surpassed 600 million cubic meters past winter, according to the official.
    He added that in spite of the cold weather and the great increase in the consumption, gas supply to all regions throughout the country was constant and even Iran succeeded to carry out all its export commitments and also provide over 80 mcm of natural gas to the power plants daily.
