    Some USD 4 billion shortage estimated in Turkey's current account

    (MENAFN) The state-run Anadolu news agency published on Friday a result of a survey which reflected the experts' expectations regarding Turkey's current account balance for August which is estimated to mark a USD 3.9 billion shortage.

    The Turkish current account balance for August is planned to be announced next Monday, according to the country's Central Bank.

    The survey which reflected the expectations of 14 economists showed an estimated balance that ranges between USD 1.5 billion and USD 4.9 billion.

    In addition, the year-end current account balance is predicted to post a gap of USD 28.6 billion.

    Turkey's current account balance in July registered a USD 1.8 billion deficit.
