    KSA, Iraq to improve economical ties

    (MENAFN) On Tuesday, 13th of October, the Saudi-Iraqi Coordination Council's (SICC) Economic, Trade Investment, and Relief Committee had its second meeting in Riyadh, under the co-organization of Eng. Khaled bin Abdulazizi Al-falih, the Saudi Investment Minister, and Dr. Khaled Battal Al-najm, the Iraqi Planning Minister. Where they discussed Saudi Arabia's intentions to increase their investments in Iraqi to SAR10 billion (USD2.6 billion).

    Al-falih underlined the importance of boosting joint ties through the work of the committees originating from the SICC. He stressed on his country's excitement to start applying the work doled out by the SICC to grow the investment, economy, development, and trade following programs, and plans set by mentioned council.

    Al-falih added that the goal is to improve collaborations between Saudi Arabia and Iraq, mentioning that his country has already started working on many previously agreed on tasks, in the SICC's third meeting that took place on 20th of July in Riyadh.
