Turkey initiates new fund for entrepreneurship
(MENAFN) The Turkish treasury and finance minister stated on Wednesday, October 21st, that Turkey's Development Fund, with its goal to encourage regional development and innovation in technology sectors, has begun operations.
Berat Albayrak said in a tweet that the fund, managed by the country's Development and Investment Bank, will become a foundation for high value-added technology invention by encouraging entrepreneurs, and fresh ideas.
The fund will also work on adding to the improvement of divisions that have tactical significance to Turkey's sustainable growth.
The fund was created with a budget of 750 million Turkish liras (USD95.4 million), and will be focused on supporting two main sectors; the Regional Development Fund and Technology Innovation Fund.
